Enhance your system with the colour dimension of X-ray. PhotonAi QS (Quad Spectra) is designed for increasingly challenging projects and improves upon the DS range with greater spectral resolution. Upgraded real-time “charge-sharing” controls provide greater separation and four channel images provide more permutations to enhance contaminant detection and improve material recognition.
Each energy channel is a colour with information about the material it has passed through. The additional colour information allows materials of interest to be recognised. For example harmful foreign objects can be classified at the point of detection and automatically notify a supervisor of the nature of the hazard. Early notifications can trigger the corrective actions to minimise disruption to operations and avoid holding finished goods for repeat inspection.

Beyond detecting foreign objects and recognising materials, multiple channels allow more components of a product to be distinguished and quantified for composition measurement. Traditionally, composition measured by X-ray requires the thickness and density of the material to be correlated to the inspection system and cannot support multi-material analysis.
The multi-Spectral channels of QS break the dependancy on density by allowing for comparison between different permutations of the energy bands. Fat, lean protein, sugar, dairy, cacao solids, potato solids, sodium and other ingredient components can be monitored in food or beverage. This new capability allows for efficient sorting, compositional monitoring for quality and productivity and verification that the correct product is in the correct pack.
